New Beauty | June: What I’m loving…
It’s been awhile since I have blogged about my personal experience with new products, so I decided I am going to do a monthly post about notable beauty and skin care.
First off – I’ve been using Marc Jacobs Beauty Genius Gel Super–Charged Oil–Free Foundation in 10 Ivory Light for over a month now, and I adore it! It has a fantastic powdery finish when dry that never leaves you looking oily. I tend to mix in a little M•A•C Face And Body foundation in C1 into it every now and then, if I want to adjust the color and make it lean a little more yellow/neutral.
Moving on to bronzer! Marc Jabocs Beauty O!Mega Bronze in Perfect Tan is something to behold; it’s perfectly matte, and the size of this compact is absolutely enormous! You get about 1 oz. (30g) of product, but just having this mirror has made my life so much easier! #PursePal
And of course, I’m a pretty avid NARS fan. Great color selection, scandalous names… what’s not to love? So I decided to pick up their newest, fabulous golden-nude lipgloss: NARS Larger Than Life Lip Gloss in Gold Digger. And let me tell you – it’s fabulous. I’m not even a fan of nude glosses (in the sense of them leaning no-lips-pale or brownish), but this one made me a fan. I like the little gold flecks. Somehow this particular gloss reminds me of fireworks on the 4th of July, and makes me want to listen to Lana Del Rey under the stars.
Then comes GLAMGLOW SUPERMUD™ Clearing Treatment. This is Sweet Salvation in a jar! Plain and simple. I’m going to save all the juicy details on this for a full-length review, but let me just say, this stuff really works. My pores felt like they were all screaming “Ahhhhh!” in unison after I got done with this baby. Even after just the first use, my skin was glowing. Don’t believe me? Go to Sephora. Ask for a sample. It’s worth the 30 seconds it would take you to ask and receive. I generally don’t like to review products if I have been using them for any less of a duration than 30 days or so, but sometimes they’re so good that I can’t contain myself from gushing about them. For me, that’s GLAMGLOW.
