Acne is the worst. From clogged pores, blackheads, whiteheads, cysts, and anything else you want to add to the list, skin is often left red, patchy, and often times scarred. I’ve been on the hunt for as long as I can remember, to find products that really work to address an array of skin concerns I have struggled with (and been proactive about). This is my first installation of what will be a series of posts on how I’ve had success combatting these issues.

I love wearing this when I don’t want to look like I’m wearing a stitch of makeup, as it’s virtually undetectable on the skin, while still creating the appearance of luminous, lit-from-within, perfect skin.

Also, I can’t stress enough how important it is to drink plenty of water during the day, so at very least, do try to manage that.

I didn’t start getting acne until after I graduated high school, so I feel really self conscious having it now. Definitely going to keep those foundations in mind for when I’m having a bad skin day.
Without going into too much detail about candida and how it causes leaky-gut (which then in turn creates acne, easily exacerbated by hormonal changes), I found when I started doing cleanses my skin got SO much better! I can completely commiserate with being self-conscious. As someone whom basically is never seen without makeup on, I can attest to the wonders of a good foundation for a self-confidence boost. If your acne is really mild, Face & Body is AMAZING, but if you want a bit more coverage, definitely go with NARS Tinted Moisturizer. The added benefit of sunscreen is fabulous, and it leaves you looking radiant and luminous (and wears really well throughout the day)!

Hi Ruhana! I know what you mean. I’d definitely recommend NARS Tinted Moisturizer for that reason. It’s what I wear when my skin is the worst. It looks natural, doesn’t feel ‘heavy’, but gives really good coverage for a tinted moisturizer. Added bonus, it has SPF, which is great for making sure pigment doesn’t form from sunlight exposure to blemishes!
