I’m a big proponent of making my purchases count for something. That’s how I first fell in love with ADORNIA.
OK, so maybe those Jimmy Choo heels only counted towards my happiness! But let’s stay focused…
When I first came across ADORNIA on AHAlife last May, I knew I had to participate with a purchase, as it supported a cause that I believe in, and was something I was proud to wear.
The Woman Behind The Brand
ADORNIA was created by Moran “Mo” Amir.
Her pieces are delicate with loud messages about causes close to her heart, all completely wearable on any occasion.
Why I love ADORNIA
When Mo shared her story about why she decided to create the controversial “ME TOO” lariat, it struck a chord.
I’ve experienced my own version of her story, vastly different, but the same. And though it’s not something I feel comfortable talking about in detail, I felt that wearing something with a message could help me overcome the feelings of shame associated with the related trauma.
ADORNIA donates 100% of profits from the ME TOO lariat to RAINN.
Though it has taken me a long time to get to this point, I strongly believe in speaking up, and that as women, we shouldn’t be ashamed of our gender, our bodies, or our pasts.
ADORNIA has been a small, but impactful way that I have incorporated this into my life.
To date, I have purchased the NASTY lariat, the ME TOO lariat, and have been gifted the NASTY stud, BOSS hoops, and LOVE cuff. I wear at least one of these pieces nearly every single day.
P.S.
To give back to the ADORNIA community, through the end of March, any wrist cuff or hoop earring purchase from Nordstrom is eligible for a FREE lariat of your choosing when you email your receipt to orders@adornia.com ♥
